If you are considering having your eyebrows tattooed/microbladed, the most important thing is to hire someone truly talented to do it! So how do you know who is talented and who isn't? Here is how. Do not trust anyone who design their customers' eyebrows by using an eyebrow measuring "Golden Ratio" rule or any other kind of facial measuring devise or mapping technique. The main two reasons why face measuring does not work are because our faces are not symmetrical and also because it does not take into consideration the effect of light and optical illusion. To test an optical illusion theory, simply have someone else take your picture and then compare your mirror reflection with that photo...
Eyebrows should always be drawn and designed free-hand without any tools or mythological "Golden Ratio" rule. The eyebrows measuring "Golden Rule" is nothing more than just a marketing myth, a utopian concept invented to sell an eyebrow products and services and to train makeup artists and permanent makeup technicians who have no talent, vision and, therefore, are unable to design their customers eyebrows free-hand.

Quality vs Quantity
Over the last two years I have noticed a dramatic increase in demand for permanent makeup services, which triggered an explosion in numbers of self-appointed permanent makeup "experts " who after merely attending a 3 day microblading class, some offered only online, went back to their beauty shops and salons to practice their "craft" on unsuspecting victims and to spread permanent makeup misinformation all over the web along with thousands of filtered misleading photos all over the Instagram. As a result, more and more people are now desperately seeking for permanent makeup removal and correction services. More clients than ever before are contacting me with photos of unevenly microbladed eyebrows, uneven and migrated eyeliners and uneven and blue lip liners. Please, please do your face a favor and do plenty of research before allowing anyone to touch it, Verify all the facts before you sign up for something so permanent and practically not removable. Yes, it is not removable! Regardless of whether it was microbladed, implanted manually or with the tattoo gun. Regardless of what your technician or their website are telling you, semi-permanent and permanent makeup are both the same thing- a tattoo, and once it is implanted into your skin it is not completely nor easily, if at all, removable. Invest some time on doing very thorough research! Check your technician's Facebook page to see how far back their permanent makeup pictures and posts go. Check their Google and Yelp accounts to see how far back their permanent makeup reviews date. Make sure that their reviews are written for permanent makeup service, and not for some other unrelated salon or beauty services like facials, regular makeup and so on. Look for face forward and full face views photos of their clients, taken while they are not smiling with their eyes open, because this is the only way you can tell if someone's eyebrows are asymmetrical. Look for a blurry background on their photos- it is usually a sign of Photoshop. Ask to see the photos of their work only after their client's permanent makeup is fully healed, since none of those microbladed eyebrows look the same in one month once they are fully healed. While microbladed hair lines look nice and crispy immediately after the microblading procedure, they never heal that way.
During initial consultation ask your technician to draw your eyebrows to see if they use any sort of measuring techniques or devices, and if they do- run and don't look back, before you ended up with some weird-looking asymmetrical eyebrows tattoo.
My goal is to provide top quality, low quantity, safe and dependable permanent makeup service. Clients re guaranteed to have beautiful and lasting results. My prices, although they might be higher than average, directly reflect the top quality low quantity unique custom work done by an expert with rare and unusual talent and ability to see people's faces and to immediately know how to position or reposition their eyebrows in order to make them look better and to correct their facial features and symmetry. Getting permanent makeup is a serious decision, one that should not be taken lightly, since many permanent makeup mistakes are not reversible. Permanent eyeliner tattoo is a moderately complicated procedure requiring tremendous amount of precision, responsibility and concentration. It is also harmful to technician's vision, since she has to wear 10 x magnification lenses for 2 to 3 hrs non-stop for perfect and flawless eyeliner. By the same token, when tattooing eyebrows Lana does it by hand using manual tattooing technique also known as Soft Tap or powdering tattooing technique originated in Japan and also known as Tebori tattooing technique. When done via Soft Tap technique, eyebrows last longer and heal faster than microblading technique. The main reason why most microbladed eyebrows only last from 6 months to 1 year is because microblading technique is ineffective and can not implant enough color to achieve a sufficient color saturation. When very little pigment is implanted via microblading, the eyebrows might look great immediately after the procedure, but they will be almost completely gone in a few weeks once they are fully healed. It takes a lot more time and effort to do custom, high quality, low quantity personalized permanent makeup work, which limits Lana in terms of how many clients she can see per day, since every procedure takes at least 3 to 4 hours plus an additional two hours to clean up, disinfect and document after each client. Lana takes the post procedure office clean-up and disinfection very seriously, since cutting corners in this area can result in serious cross contamination and blood-borne infection, therefore Lana chooses to do all the cleanup herself to insure her customer's complete safety. As a result, Lana is limited to seeing only one client a day.
Important to know: Permanent makeup require several sessions with at least 30 days in between For more information about manual Japanese aka “Soft Tap” technique, visit our Microblading vs Soft Tap technique page

Private office with no other permanent makeup technicians working side by side
Special medical cleanup after each customer, which takes 1–2 hrs after each procedure. To assure customer's safety, Lana herself does a complete office cleanup and sterilization after each customer.
Written record is kept for every customer with detailed description of their procedure and their custom pigment mix formula

Medical education and experience. Lana is a Professional Registered Nurse, BSN - graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University with over 10 years experience in Oncology, Med-surge, Bone Marrow transplant, Radiation Oncology, Stem Cell transplant, psych, medical detox, triage and disease management experience.
Warning: Permanent makeup is technically an invasive and dangerous medical-surgical procedure that is completely unregulated and can be performed by anyone after merely one day of online training and certificate issued by anyone without any required credentials or verifiable work experience . Most permanent makeup trainers are good sales people and smooth talkers with hardly any permanent makeup experience. Unfortunately, dog groomers require more training and knowledge than a permanent makeup/ microblading trainers and technicians.
Soft and natural eyebrows, via unique Japanese Soft Tap technique that last 2–3 years. unlike microbladed eyebrows that only last 3 to 6 months.
I strongly advise against microblading, since it does not last, cause skin damage, hair follicle damage and scars. Microblading takes forever to heal, needs frequent touch ups, and basically it is a one time deal, because after several touch ups it will look more like a solid powdered eyebrow rather than an individual eyebrow hair. I use manual Japanese tattooing technique also known as Soft Tap. Based on my experience, Soft Tap is the best and safest eyebrows tattooing technique, because it heals much faster and lasts much longer than microblading. Soft Tap does not cause scars and looks soft and natural.
Unlike most microbladed eyebrows that require color boost every 3 to 6 months, most eyebrows created via our Soft Tap technique will need a color boost every 2 to 3 years (when protected from UV light.) I do not recommend waiting longer than 3 years to do color boost, since more than one session might be needed to catch up, due to fading color.
Permanent Eyebrows 1st session (lasts 2 to 3 years with UV light protection).......$750 This appointment (initial 1st session) takes approximately 4 hrs
custom work with unlimited timing + included free home care kit and 24 hr post procedure support for any questions or concerns.
Most customers need 2 sessions, 1 to 3 months apart (see 2nd session information below). Please do not wait longer than 1 to 3 months between 1st and 2nd sessions. The longer you wait after the 1st session - the harder it will be for me to finish your permanent makeup work, due to fading and change in color.
Custom free-hand design and manual hand-tool Japanese tattooing technique, modified by Soft Tap company-the best and safest in permanent makeup industry, Not used by most technicians because it requires special training and supplies.
Everywhere else: 1st session eyebrows appointment is reserved for maximum 2.5 hrs and customer is rushed if their appointment is not finished on time for the next customer in line. There will be hardly any office sterilization and clean up between customers, resulting in very high risk of cross contamination. Since permanent makeup and microblading technicians do not have to have any education or licensing - they have nothing to lose if their client were to contract, for example, Hepatitis C, HIV or a wide variety of other blood-borne pathogens.
You might find it very hard to believe, that in this day and age, in America, where Doctors and Nurses have to go through years of rigorous training before they are allowed to perform any invasive and non-invasive procedures, where licensed aestheticians are not allowed to do any invasive procedures, we have a completely unregulated highly invasive and dangerous permanent makeup, including microblading and medical tattooing that can be literally performed by anyone without any credentials, training or medical knowledge. It takes years to become an optometrist or ophthalmologist and yet anyone, after one day of training, can do a highly invasive and dangerous eyeliner tattoo.
Permanent Eyebrows 2nd follow-up session in 1 to 3 months after the initial procedure (for existing customers only) Appointment time: 2 to 4 hrs (custom work with unlimited timing in sterile and completely private medical office environment) + included free home care kit and 24 hr post procedure support for any questions and concerns: 1 hour ........$250 2 hrs.......... $350 3 hrs ..........$450 4 hrs...........$550 Everywhere else the 2nd followup appointment is reserved for a maximum of 1 hour, and the customer is rushed if their appointment is not finished within 1 hour, since the next in line customer is already waiting. Second session price dependson the amount of work, time, eyebrows thickness, color darkness and the degree of facial and eyebrows asymmetry. Permanent Eyebrows for Men Information:
IMPORTANT! Permanent eyebrows for male clients should only be done if they have enough of their own, evenly distributed, eyebrow hair, to add 3rd dimension, and to avoid unnatural looking eyebrows Permanent eyebrows should not be done if the male client does not have some evenly distributed eyebrow hair, to avoid an unnatural look. Unlike female eyebrows, permanent eyebrows for men must always be designed with strategic imperfection, to make them look completely natural, undetectable, and to enhance their masculine facial features. Under no circumstances, the permanent makeup for men should EVER look detectable to avoid looking ridiculous. Permanent eyebrows should not be done if the male client does not have at least some and somewhat evenly distributed eyebrow hair. Aesthetically, it is better when a man does not have any eyebrows than to have eyebrows that look like a tattoo or an eyebrows pencil. If you are a male client, you must be very careful whom you choose to do your permanent eyebrow makeup since most technicians will not follow the “strategic imperfection” rule and will end up creating an even and too perfect, lifted or rounded female eyebrows design. The initial consultation is needed for all new customers to go over very important information and to mentally and physically prepare them for the procedure. My services are designed to provide top quality, safety and to satisfy even the toughest critics. Unlike most permanent makeup technicians, I do not set a specific appointment time for each customer, so there is never a chance that we might run out of time. I do not need to rush in order to serve more customers, since I only see one client a day. My office is designed to be used exclusively for permanent makeup to prevent a possibility of cross contamination and spread of infection. I do not offer any other aesthetic services, like many other permanent makeup practitioners do, in order to keep the treatment area sterile. To maintain a sterile environment, I do not rent or share my office with other technicians, nor do I offer a permanent makeup training. For customer's safety and confidentiality, no one is permitted to enter my office during and after the procedure. Furthermore, the office building cleaning crew is not allowed to enter or to clean my office, to prevent them from spreading an infection from one office to another. I do all the cleaning, disinfecting, restocking and procedure area preparation myself to prevent any possible spread of infection from other offices and to make sure the disinfection is done correctly and thoroughly. During the eyebrows design and drawing part of our appointment, which takes 1 to 2 hours, customers are encouraged not to rush, to take their time, until they are completely satisfied and comfortable with their pencilled eyebrows design. I do not start tattooing until customers are completely satisfied, without a doubt, with their penciled eyebrows design. My work does not depend on the short-lived hottest trend. Every customer's eyebrows are custom designed to fit the client's individual facial features and personal unique style, including the lifestyle. I work very hard to satisfy even the toughest and most demanding critics.
Factors that will determine the time of your eyebrows procedure:
Eyebrows design difficulty
The degree of facial asymmetry, and/or nasal deviation
Needed change of shape or location
Narrow or asymmetrical eyebrow bone
Uneven eye shape and location
The distribution and thickness of client's existing eyebrows
Eyebrows that require partial or complete relocation in order to correct client's facial asymmetry
Excessive and constant movement of client's facial muscles (when the location of clients' eyebrows is constantly changing due to excessive facial muscle movement, and customer's inability to control their facial muscles) Usually this happens when people can't relax their face. They raise their eyebrows whenever they look at themselves in the mirror, and no matter what design we create, it will never look right to them since they are unable to see themselves the same way others see them. This is probably one of the most difficult and longest appointments. To make things even more complicated, most clients who are unable to control their facial/eyebrows muscles usually also have very asymmetrical faces, and no matter what we do we can never achieve the perfection they are trying to achieve, since they are unable to see their faces the way others see them.
Many clients don't realize that their faces are not symmetrical, so when we start designing their eyebrows it often takes 2 to 2.5 hours since we are trying to create an even looking eyebrows and at the same time to correct their facial asymmetry. My goal is not only to make the client look younger and more attractive, but also to correct their facial asymmetry and to hide their facial imperfections, something that can not be achieved by simple face measuring. The traditional eyebrows measuring technique, used by other permanent makeup practitioners, is completely counterproductive, since it will make client's facial asymmetry even more visible by underlining and highlighting it with identical stencil-like eyebrows.
Important to know:
Permanent makeup is always built over several sessions, two in most cases
Permanent makeup will fade in time and will require routine maintenance, also known as a color boost, every 2 to 3 years for eyebrows, every year for lips and approximately every 4 to 5 years for the eyeliner tattoo, depending on the individual's color absorption and retention and UV light /sun exposure.
Eyebrows tattoo procedure, and what you get for your money:
First session eyebrows tattoo typically takes an average of 4 to 6 hours, This is more time than most permanent makeup technicians usually spend with their new clients since designing new eyebrows can often take 2 to 3 hrs. The industry's average time spent on designing new eyebrows is 15 to 30 min per client.
Client's detailed health screening to assure safety of their procedure
Planning and selection: we usually spend a considerable amount of time on meticulous color selection, pigment mixing and eyebrows drawing and design. The planning and designing part of our appointment will continue until client and I are both agree that we found the perfect color and shape combination. Each client is encouraged to take an active participation in the planning and selection process.
One on one work, in privacy of clean and sterile modern office, exclusively designed for permanent makeup application, and is never shared with other technicians.
The best and safest pigments. Best and latest sterile equipment. All pigments are made in the USA, tested for safety, manufactured and sold by Medical Doctor licensed in the US —Dr. Linda Dixon MD
Clients are given detailed before and aftercare instructions, verbal and written, plus the home care kit containing an ointment, Q-tips, and sterile gauze sponges to keep eyebrows infection free while they are healing.
24 hrs post procedure support is available for any questions or problems.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT EYEBROWS TATTOO
My goal is to create soft and natural looking eyebrows were no one else knows that they were tattooed. To achieve that by utilizing a manual hand tool technique originated in Japan hundreds of years ago.
Allergy/sensitivity patch test + consultation.........$100 (to schedule please visit "consultation online booking" page. The Allergy Patch test, although it is optional, recommended for clients with history of multiple allergies.
The allergy and sensitivity test is recommended to take place at least 1 week before the procedure. Most of our long distance traveling customers usually waive this option. Please text or email me if you have any allergy concerns, I use very safe and allergy tested pigment brand called “Kolorsource,” so the chance of having an allergic reaction is very slim, especially if the client previously had permanent makeup or regular body tattoo.

Please note that not everyone is a good candidate or medically capable to undergo this procedure. I will determine who is and who isn't and I will always pick safety over money ! I said “no” to many clients in the past due to their multiple medical problems and medications that could place them at risk for infection or bleeding.
I strongly suggest to treat this as a serious medical procedure, and to spend some time on doing thorough research, This is not a good time to rush or try to schedule the same or next day appointment!
Many permanent makeup establishments offer to do permanent eyeliner tattoo for very cheap, mostly because they don't have much experience, medical knowledge or concern about their customer's safety or quality of their work. They also carry very little responsibility or concern about safety and well-being of their clients.by scheduling their appointments without preparing their clients for the procedure, checking their health status, medications and their ability to tolerate the eyeliner tattoo procedure. Guess what will happen If for some reason you can not tolerate the eyeliner tattoo procedure? They will take your money, even if they were unable to finish your permanent eyeliner procedure, and then they will blame you for not allowing them to finish their work. They will hardly numb your eyes, because your comfort is not in their best interest since they don't have much time set for the eyeliner procedure because their next client is already waiting. Their hope is that you will not be able to tolerate the pain and discomfort of the eyeliner tattooing procedure, begging them to stop the eyeliner procedure early, before it is finished, and, of course, because it was so uncomfortable and very painful you will not be comming back for your included free followup appointment. Bingo! Mission accomplished -you now have no money and no eyeliner.... Well, lets look at the bright side - at least you kept your vision and did not end up with the horrible permanent eyeliner migration. So what is permanent eyeliner migration? Google "permanent eyeliner migration" to find out. When eyeliner is not done properly, the pigment or ink can spread under the skin making it look like a halo or more often like a bruise. The migrated eyeliner is practically not removable. Seriously, I am not making this up! I always hear the same story from customers after their unsuccessful attempts to save money by having their eyeliner tattoo done somewhere else. Not to mention the danger of using poor quality pigments, numbing agents and the cheap tattoo machine which can backflow causing cross contamination -spreading infection from one client onto next. Cheap tattoo machine that wiggle too much making it impossible to make a straight line. Poor quality ink-or expired pigment, most likely made in China, or even worse using body tattoo ink and /or wrong needle that is too thick or too long, where length of the needle can not be adjusted. The result - color migration(spreading) under the skin, making it look like unfixable bruise. Most clients will have to live with this for the rest of their lives, Also, lets not forget the appointment that takes no more than 1 to 1.5 hrs and not much cleaning or disinfecting after each client. There is a good reason why so many of my clients are doctors, attorneys, nurses and teachers. They all understand how dangerous this procedure can be if it is not done by the resposible and experienced medical professional who can accurately check their client's health and medications ahead of time, and whose work will not only be artistically beautiful, but also safe and top quality. Almost every day I receive photos of botched permanent eyeliners, eyebrows and lips with requests to correct it because it is too thick, uneven, migrated ... and everyone of those people tell me that if they only knew....., they would have never selected a permanent makeup technician based on better price or closer location. Although, the high price is not always an accurate predictor of someone's artistic abilities, it will at least be someplace safe. For more information on how to select a permanent makeup technician, please visit "Permanent makeup nightmares " page.
Making perfectly flawless permanent eyeliner is extremely difficult, eye straining and tiring. It is even.more difficult to do in on someone who has an uncontrolled anxiety, frequent panic attacks, eyes sensitive to touch, clients with frequent need to use the bathroom and those who are unable to lay flat on their back for extended periods of time.
Please do not schedule an eyeliner tattoo if you have sensitive eyes, very dry eyes, uncontrolled anxiety and panic attacks, since you will not able to tolerate it due to inability to relax and not squeeze your eyes during the procedure. If you frequently need to use a bathroom, more often than every 1.5 hours, you are not a good candidate for an eyeliner tattoo, since you will be unable to open your eyes or get up for at least few hours during the procedure. A trip to the bathroom during the eyeliner tattoo procedure can result in infection and poor pigment absorption. Check with your doctor if you have diabetes, heart disease, glaucoma or any other health problems or problems with the eyes that are currently being treated. Remove an eyelash extensions and stop using Latisse at least 2 weeks before your eyeliner tattoo procedure.
Eye sensitivity self-test.
Can you touch your eyeball without blinking? If you can then perhaps your eyes are not very sensitive and you might be a good candidate for the permanent eyeliner procedure. If you are unable to touch your eyeball without blinking, then your eyes are very sensitive. and it will be very difficult for you to tolerate an eyeliner procedure.
Try another eye sensitivity test: put cold eye drops in your eyes without blinking.
People who wear contact lenses or eyelash extensions are usually able to tolerate an eyeliner tattoo procedure.

Permanent Lips tattoo (the same as lip-blush) Very Important: Lips tattoo ( aka lip-blush) does not work for people with dark skin tone due to hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation is skin darkening resulted from overproduction of melanin in responce to skin needling(skin tattoing).
